Recently, the first horizontal rescue drilling rig (CREC-HRD620), independently developed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group under China Railway Hi-Tech Industry of CREC, officially rolled off the production line.
The horizontal rescue drilling rig achieves targeted breakthroughs in rescue technologies for complex geological conditions. By integrating six key technologies—including dual-power drive, intelligent anti-jamming systems, and low-disturbance drilling—it demonstrates strong adaptability to extreme environments. The rig can rapidly bore a rescue passage with an inner diameter of up to 620 millimeters in a wide temperature range from –25°C to 50°C and in plateau operating environments below 4,500 meters in altitude. It is capable of covering more than 80 percent of tunnel collapse rescue scenarios in China, providing core equipment support for emergency rescue operations across different regions and geological conditions.
