On April 8, the Administrative Office of Dornod Province, Mongolia, conducted a special assessment of the 2025 social responsibility performance of CREC Resources Shin Shin Company, a subsidiary of China Railway Resources Group under China Railway Group Limited (CREC). The company passed the assessment with a high score of 94.4.
As a benchmark Chinese-invested enterprise deeply rooted in Dornod Province, the company has been named one of Mongolia’s “Top 100 Enterprises” for eight consecutive years. It is also the first wholly Chinese-owned underground mining enterprise in Mongolia to obtain ISO integrated certification for quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems. In 2025, it was recognized as an “Outstanding Water Conservation Enterprise for Groundwater Protection” in Mongolia. Its development achievements have been widely acknowledged by local authorities and communities. Against the backdrop of the high-quality advancement of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, Shin Shin Company has leveraged localized collective agreements to deepen pragmatic cooperation with local governments, delivering notable results in social responsibility fulfillment.
To date, the company has established stable cooperation mechanisms with 35 local enterprises, covering production materials, transportation services, and logistics support, with continuously improving localization of operations. It provides more than 1,100 long-term jobs, with over 95% of employees being local residents from Dornod Province, earning the title of “Outstanding Labor Employer in Dornod Province.” In 2025, the water recycling rate at its processing plant exceeded 90%. Over the year, it completed 23.3 hectares of technical reclamation and 16 hectares of ecological restoration, and planted more than 10,000 trees around the mining area, demonstrating its commitment to building a “green mine.” In March 2025, the company successfully rescued 12 residents trapped in a blizzard; the deed was featured in a special report by the Mongolian National News Agency and received widespread acclaim.
