On April 20 local time, the installation of the first photovoltaic panel array of the Lusha Mining PV Energy Storage Microgrid Power Purchase Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, undertaken by China Railway Seventh Group under CREC, was completed.
Located in Luisha Town, Haut-Katanga Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the project features a photovoltaic power station with a peak capacity of 32 MW and an energy storage capacity of 58 MWh, delivering a stable output of 14 MW with an annual power supply of no less than 50 million kWh. Adopting a long-term power purchase agreement model, the contractor shall independently be responsible for the design, application, construction, commissioning, grid connection, operation and maintenance of the project in accordance with the site conditions provided by the owner.
Upon completion, the Lusha Mining PV Energy Storage Microgrid Power Purchase Project will provide stable and reliable clean power, boosting the local energy structure transformation and low-carbon sustainable development.
