


On April 22 Morocco time, track laying officially started for Bid Section 2 of the Morocco Railway Capacity Enhancement Track Renovation Project undertaken by China TIESIJU Civil Engineering Group under CREC.
Bid Section 2 is located in the urban area of Casablanca, starting from Sidi El Bernoussi in the west to Oasis in the east, with a route length of about 20.3 kilometers (parallel sections not counted repeatedly). The core engineering quantities include the dismantling of 51.4 kilometers of tracks and 151 sets of turnouts, as well as the newly Laid of 84 kilometers of seamless tracks and 124 sets of turnouts.
The Morocco Railway Capacity Enhancement Project is a series of major infrastructure projects implemented to strengthen the transportation capacity of the country's railway system and serve the 2030 World Cup as well as the long-term transportation development strategy, covering high-speed railway expansion, urban rail transit upgrading and localized train production.
