Recently, China Construction Industry Association announced the award winners of the 2025 Green Construction Technology Competition. Three projects undertaken by The First Engineering Bureau of CREC won the third prize, namely the Civil Engineering No.3 Work Zone of Bid Section 2 (Wuhe-Julong) of Shenzhen-Dapeng Intercity Railway, Plot XACR-2023-007 Project in Startup Area (CREC Xiongan Science and Innovation Center), and XDZH Bid Section of Xi'an East Station (excluding station building) and supporting works of Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway as well as Xi'an hub related projects of Xi'an-Ankang High-speed Railway.
Bainikeng Station constructed by the No.1 Branch Company of The First Engineering Bureau of CREC is the eighth station of Shenzhen-Dapeng Intercity Railway. With a total length of 539.9 meters, standard width of 52.5 meters and excavation depth ranging from 19.8 meters to 34.1 meters, it is equipped with five entrances and exits, two emergency evacuation passages and ventilation shaft groups. A variety of energy-saving and low-carbon technologies were adopted during construction to boost efficiency, cut pollution and reduce resource consumption. The project completed in-situ protection of two ancient camphor trees through technical research, applied for 12 patents and obtained 2 enterprise-level construction methods, greatly improving the green construction capacity and finishing the project safely, efficiently with high quality and low consumption.
Undertaken by the No.2 Branch Company of The First Engineering Bureau of CREC, the project is located in the core area of Xiongan New Area startup zone, serving as an important platform for undertaking non-capital functions transferred from Beijing. Covering a land area of about 169,000 square meters and a total floor area of 449,000 square meters, it is a comprehensive science and innovation landmark integrating office, commerce, star-rated hotels and high-end residences. The project built a full-factor smart construction site management platform, adopted intelligent safety management systems and various environmental protection measures, and popularized prefabricated construction and green low-carbon technologies, achieving remarkable environmental benefits.
The Xi'an East Station related projects constructed by The First Engineering Bureau of CREC cover integrated construction of communication, signal, power and traction power supply systems. A total of 188 kilometers of communication optical cables, 1546 kilometers of signal cables, 212 kilometers of power cables and 191 kilometers of catenary wires were laid. The project practiced new railway construction concepts, carried out four scientific and technological innovation researches and adopted multiple intelligent management systems. Strict management was implemented in environmental protection and resource conservation, bringing sound economic and social benefits.
